Coco Butter Band is an original blues/funk/soul organ duo and winners of the Steel City Blues Society Blues Challenge from
Philadelphia, PA. Memphis bound for the IBC in 2014, this duo is made up of Liam Bouterre on organ/bass and Coco
Bouterre on drums, both on lead vocals. Their sound captures the power of guitar driven Blues/Funk/Rock, but entirely with an organ, creating a familiar sound in a whole new light. While schooled in KC style blues, from Liam's previous gig as a founding member/keyboardist for 2008 IBC Winners, Trampled Under Foot, the Coco Butter Band brings a soulful, funky, straight East Coast flavor. Continuing promotion of their independent debut EP, American Brothers, they are excited to bring their swamp funk and blues style to the national scene.
