Three childhood friends have a vision- make music with truth and tell a story. C.O.D. stands for Cash on Delivery. With this group you get what you ordered. Fresh lyrics, soulful beats and relevant themes. The sound can best be described as music with a street edge and R&B undertones. Requests poured in after airplay of "Ride Wit Me" on WIZF 100.9.
C.O.D. was formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in late 2005. Their home produced discs began selling fast through word of mouth. The trio decided to make their sideline a career change. Yet unsigned, they have a professionally produced demo tape available. The group’s musical influences are Nas and T.I. because there is message in the music and variety in the themes.
J.I. is a writer and rapper. The “big man” can really nail a lyric that appeals to the lifestyle of the young, urban crowd. His in-your-face honesty shines through on “Milkshake Thick” and “Ride Wit Me”. Finesse has an intelligence that shines through on “Crispy”. Major’s playful optimism permeates “Party All Night”. . This is a group to watch.
