Feeling a bit camera shy

codachrome has, in order of importance:

1. GOOD SONGS: mr. grieves was struck by intense inspiration when he moved to manhattan from london UK in 2003. heavily influenced by syd barret's melodic genius and by other more recent electronic pop bands like broadcast, soul coughing and air, in a few months he composed the batch of songs that form codachrome's current repertoire. listen to the band's mp3s and judge for yourself.

2. A UNIQUE SOUND: Mr. Grieves' vocals - reminiscent of 80's psychedelic band Jesus and Mary Chain - float on a dense layer of unusually organized sounds and changing rhythms. faster guitar driven songs are alternated with calmer tracks, where the electronic components take over. the quality of the arrangement is organic, with strong psychedelic influences.

3. COMPETENT, TALENTED AND FOCUSED MUSICIANS WHO GET ALONG: it took 6 months to put together codachrome's current line up. about 50 between bassists and guitarists were auditioned. codachrome is now a bunch of friends, compatible not only on a musical level, but also on the social one.

4. A VISION AND A MISSION: giving a new space to pop, expressing one concept using different but integrated medias, fostering collaboration with other artists and other art forms, creating a stronger art that can't be ignored.

5. CHARACTER AND PERSONALITY: hard to explain what it is... probably - in this case - a personal approach to music.

6. A SMALL BUSINESS APPROACH: we are working every day to expand our fan base. we have just started.
