Bio

Since the day his father brought home a vintage acoustic guitar, Cody Allen knew his calling was music. Cody never missed an opportunity to try out his original songs for other people. In grade school he performed for his classmates and in high school he brought together some friends to form his first band. After releasing some demos in his hometwon, Cody began building a following for his music and he garnered features for his songs on local radio stations. Before long he was playing in Northern Ontario rock clubs.

With some stage experience and a strong following of fans responding to his music, singer/songwriter Cody Allen started work on recording his music and soon after released his first EP independently. After months of writing, he brought his music to High Holy Days guitarist Dave Thompson. Dave, who has remixed tracks for Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and NIN to name a few and produced High Holy Days and Leslie Carter, sister of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, accepted the challenge to produce an organic melodic rock album. In 2005, Dave and Cody began work on the 6 track EP titled “Little Things Mean So Much”. Cody Allen released his debut album in February 2006.

With his unique, gritty voice and memorable songs, Cody Allen’s music stands out. He has garnered support from North Bay’s 102FM The Fox, Kingston’s K-Rock and Sturgeon Falls’ JOCO 99.3. His first single, “8 O’clock” from “Little Things Mean So Much” has been released and his new single "The Way You Are" will be released throughout Canada this spring. After competing at this year’s Canadian Music Week, Cody Allen promises to be a presence in the music scene for years to come.
