In the late 60's and 70's the were was a way of life known as southern rock. artist from all over the south mixed country folk like lyrics with rocking vocals and sceaming guitar solos..as time marched on southern rock was pushed to the back as pop flooded the radio and t.v...however over the past few years southern rock has lingered in the underground with people like Shooter Jennings and The Drive-by-Truckers..all wanting to give southern rock (true rock) a home on the mainstream..Cody Bowen is one of those people. Influenced by Shooter and the Truckers, Cody uses real life experiences to inspire his writing and southern rock and roll to mold together and form yet again the Alt- Country/ Southern Rock and soul sound that Muscle Shoals is known for..Cody Signed with Indie Country Lable TMA(nashville)in late 06 anD will release an Indie album in late 07...Cody will also begin a movement "Unlock The Rock" THAT will urge everyone to support all southern rock, ALt- Country, and artists from the South..please join the movement and help us "UNLOCK THE ROCK"
