Biography Cody Mabe
Growing up in the mountains of Virginia in a small town called Big Stone Gap, my musical roots trace back to when I was fifteen years old. Playing
in a traveling gospel group learning my first chords on the guitar from my uncle and aunt.. Singing and performing is what I believe I was put on Gods green
earth to do. I have played at birthday parties, family cookouts, gospel singings, and even funerals. I have sung the National Anthem at local sports venues; and, of course, I have played at the honky tonk bars and VFW's. Some of the highlights and most memorable performances of my career so far have been performing at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida and singing at a private party for actress/model Andie MacDowell. One of my most intimate and personal experiences so far has been singing with Randy Owen, Alabama's lead singer. He graciously signed my guitar.
The past few years my travels and experiences have helped me to realize the unseen hand of God moves in mysterious ways placing special people and the beauty of nature all around us. Please join me in celebrating them on my first 15- song Cd titled "Faraway from Everyday".
