BandRockPop

Indie Rock with a certain jazzy attitude from Hasselt Belgium. The kind of band that shows a never let down enthusiasm when it comes to stretching the whole idea of what pop(ular) music might and should be. Enjoy, Your *Coin Operated Entertainment Machine*

Biography

C O E M stands for Coin Operated Entertainment Machine.
Mostly you can find them back in their practicing room -an old Gelatine factory- in the city of Hasselt, Belgium.

This 4-piece band is best known for their never let down enthusiasm when it comes to stretching the whole idea of what pop(ular) music might and should be. 'Move/the Mountain' (their forth album already) is presented as an album in two parts: On 'Move' you find unruly, vivid rock songs. The lyrics go from ironic to cynical and back. 'the Mountain' then contains some of their most melancholy songs up to date. Pure instrumental improvisations recorded for Radio 1 and an extra ordinairy cover version of Praga Khans 'Breakfast in Vegas'. Both discs giving you a different insight in the band's ever growing universe. Proud to call themselves artrockers!

Add their exuberant live performances to that...
Here are some of the stages and acts they've played with:
- support for Mark Lanagan Band at AB, Brussels
- support for Sandy Dillon at les Nuits Botanique, Brussels
- support for Madrugada at the Monty, Antwerp
- Haldern Pop Festival, Germany
- Pukkelpop festival 2005, Kiewit Belgium
- Eurosonic 2003
