Coffee with Lions is a blend of melodic, high-energy, agro, east coast punk and hardcore. Formed in 2018 with zero expectations or delusions. Coffee with Lions was a return to writing/performing for each of its members who had drifted away from the central pa music scene as the years wore on. The intent was to shake off the dust, learn some covers and maybe write a few; but mostly it was a good way to end the week with beers between best friends. Once they stepped on stage for the first time as Coffee with Lions in 2019 at HMAC, the trajectory was set.
The song writing of Coffee with Lions is heavily influenced by the DC punk and NY hardcore scenes of the 90's/00's. CWL has been called "agro dad punk" despite their aversion to labels.
Since their inception, Coffee with Lions has focused on organic growth through one on one connection with fans and has subsequently built a solid base in several regions of PA.
