C~of~W

C~of~W which stands for "Cup of Wine" was first introduced in early 2009 by the band's leader and founder Elternative, the nine year old boy who had a dream to start his own band, they only catch was he wanted his dad, mom, aunt, and uncle to be a part of the phenomenon.

Elternative has been playing guitar since the age of four courtesy of his mom, Charlie L.K., she forced him into playing the guitar and hasn't been away from it since. Elternative began writing songs at an early age and his first written song was called "My Dream" based on a dream he had one night, he told his dad about it and since that moment a child’s dream became a reality. Elternative has written all of C~OF~W’s songs and has created his own unique style of guitar riffs and finding influence from his favorite rock group, U2; especially they're guitarist, The Edge. Elternative has written songs about politics, the economy, the manipulation of television and its effect on today's society, along with the plain fact that television has been decreasing children's creativity. Elternative is home-schooled which allows him to explore the world of trippy guitar rhythms and create his own sound of music. Along his side is his dad, Oggur P.C., who was the first one to jump on board with his son when he wanted to create his own band. Elternative's dad has never taken a drum lesson in his life and has also created his own unique drum beats that no one can imitate. Oggur's name originates from the classic Disney fairytale "Shrek", where in the movie Shrek is portrayed as a vicious, mean ogre but in C~of~W's eyes Oggur is really a sweet, tenderhearted artist. Oggur is the lead vocalist, a drummer, a keyboard player and has co-written the band's hit songs along with Elternative. To balance the band they have Charlie L.K., a sweet and loving mother who happens to be the band's only photographer and her passion for music serves as the band's musical expertise. Charlie's passion is behind the camera lens, she never misses a snapshot being C~OF~W's personal "paparazzi". Taking over the drum throne is La BesT-Tia which translates into "The Best Auntie" to Elternative, not to be thrown off by being "A Beast" behind her drum set. She came from a world where she wasn't allowed to play as hard as she wanted to, but in C~of~W Land, the harder you play, the harder you rock. Lastly, we have ACsq, C~OF~W's bass guitarist and Elternative's uncle. The straight "A" genius enters a rock and roll universe beyond books and school, re-learning everything from basics to pro in a matter of seconds. ACsq becomes the slamming bassist that C~OF~W was missing.

C~of~W has been creating a huge buzz wherever they go every performance leaves the audience breathless and shocked. Elternative has also been influencing other young children, teenagers and even adults to pursue their dreams and never give up. What keeps C~of~W together is not only the simple fact that they're family but also the very nature that they love what they are doing. Their passion and the effort they put into their work is astonishing, no one believes that a family band would have so much to say about today's world and prove that they're here for good. Nothing will get in their way; they’re fighting against a system that doesn't want to believe in them. They're here to prove the world wrong and to open the minds of those too ignorant to resist them. C~of~W is not a regular rock band, separating themselves from the music industry and believing in themselves will keep critics craving for the hidden message of C~OF~W’s love and desire to keep audiences at their toes.

They have even started their very own non-profit organization called "The Garage House Foundation" which they seek to help children who are homeless and needy by awarding them with food, clothing, toys, and a place where they can truly be themselves.
