Colby and the Contraband

Colby and the Contraband first started jamming together circa 1998 in Kameron's room in Arcata, Ca. In 2000, after two years of partying and jamming we parted ways. Nine years later in 2009, we resparked our musical bond and gave ourselves the infamous name of Colby and the Contraband. '09 started our summer music season and we kept pretty busy playing local venues in Lake County, Ca. Cobbstock '09 in Cobb, Ca gave us an opportunity to play with several great bands from Lake County. We continued to play the local bars and pool parties throughout the summer of '09. In the Fall '09 we entered the Rising Stars Music Competition in Ukiah, Ca, and won the world music category. We shortly there after recorded a CD demo, and have recently been in hibernation in anticipation of the upcoming summer music scene. Anxiously awaiting possible gigs in and around California.
Colby continues his endless summer quest by playing music and surfing in Balneario Cambrou, Brasil. Where he recently opened up for surfer Rob Machado and his band. Colby will be back in California to keep on jammin' in the summer of 2010.
