Bio
Cole Armocida hails from Pittsburgh, PA and currently resides in New York City. At an early age, Cole’s music education was enhanced by what her siblings had in their album collections. Cole loved bands like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Who, David Bowie, Joan Jett, Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foghat, Allman Brothers, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Cream, Black Sabbath and Humble Pie. Just imagine a four year old Cole singing two of her favorites: Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love or The Rolling Stones’ Get Off My Cloud with élan and rock swagger.
Being a performer, Cole began playing in bands as early as thirteen. After doing many live shows and opening for some national acts with her band in Pittsburgh; Cole eventually left to see what opportunities existed beyond the Steel City.
While in New York City, she met Raphael Vareles who became her lead guitarist and musical brother in this journey. Cole’s first CD, Lifeline, contains thirteen original songs. The music clearly shows her early musical influences and the songs hold one captive with her passionate vocals and strong melodies. Cole is joined by talented musicians Raphael Vareles (on guitar), John Bernitt (on keyboards), Jim Hare (on bass) and Bob Legg (on drums) during the recordings at Leopard Studio. Adding to the mix is the veteran engineer, Jimmy “Lonesome” Goodman, of Leopard Studio.
