Summer Nights - 2008 - 5 song CD

Originating from the Ontario area, when most kids were out dirt biking and riding ATV's, Cole at age eleven, chose to sell his ATV in exchange for his first guitar and amp, he had found his passion in music. Cole diligently worked on honing his guitar playing skills, playing mainly Silverchair and Nirvana tunes. By grade ten, the interest of songwriting was sparked and the desire to preform with a band, hence his first three piece band was formed with some friends. This group preformed on the high school school talent stage throughout the year, playing mainly Nirvana cover tunes. Grade eleven another band, “Grind ST” was formed using an abundance of Cole's lyrics and playing mainly original songs.

In the spring of 2004, guitar in hand, Cole moved west to Alberta, unknowing to himself that a change in musical genre would occur. Cole entered the Cowboys Star Competition, winning that nights performance by singing Dust On The Bottle. Country Music had him captivated. Proceeding on in 2005 to enter Lamlee's Rising Star and Cowboys Star Competition, allowing him to proceed to the finals for both events. Later in 2005, Cole entered the Ponoka Talent Showcase, winning, giving him the opportunity to entertain on main stage at the Ponoka rodeo and has had the honor of doing so for the past four years.

Cole found himself competing at Global Rising Star in 2007, giving him the opportunity to share the stage with Patricia Conroy, Shane Yellowbird and Brad Johner. Then on to Olds Rising Star Competition, hosted by CKFM, giving him the opportunity he had been waiting for, to record a single. Cole took this one step further, and recorded an additional four self penned songs for his demo CD titled “Summer Nights”.

Influenced by various genres ranging from Eric Church, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks to Silverchair, Staind, Nirvana and Metallica, attributes to Cole's rock/country style of music.

Cole is continually honing his writing skills to become an accomplished songwriter, as well as gearing to tour to promote himself and share his music with a new generation of country music fans.
