"Demo Review"

A quality demo from a band brand new to AU. Their cracking ear for melody combined with a ramshackle charm reminiscent of early Libertines makes for utterly pleasent listening. You can throw in a dash of The Cure, The Clash and even a dollop of the strokes if you fancy. We've got our eye on these youngsters, and you should keep a 'ball on them too. Promising - AU Magazine

"Battle Of The Bands"

The Tyrone based four piece aren’t exactly the sort of young fellas you’d introduce to your granny but you'd be mad to ignore them completely. Sure they look like nice, clean citizens (most of them) but as soon as they kick things off you know you’re in the presence of raw, unadulterated talent. - Niall Kerr - NI Music Journalist

"Featured Band Of The Month"

It's the build up and release of chorus that bang on your ear drums like aboriginal elders; constant, memorable and effective. Colenso have a couple of songs which could break the top 10 if a record label recognises their potential. - www.hdrome.co.uk - Terry Whittaker

Bio

Colenso Parade are a band from in Omagh, Co. Tyrone, whose style incorporates various genres; Indie, Rock, Pop and Punk. The band began at school, when four friends got together to play music as a means of relieving the boredom of town-life.
The boys taught themselves how to play their separate instruments and together they developed as a band. While learning their instruments, Fergal and Mickey began to write songs and have been doing so for many years. The band played many gigs and events in their hometown of Omagh during their final years at school. Since then, Colenso Parade have been performing in various towns across Northern Ireland, primarily in Belfast, Derry and Omagh. In the winter of 2006, the band went into a recording studio to record an EP, consisting of seven songs. The songs that they recorded have since been gaining recognition amongst local radio stations and magazines. The EP has also been receiving much interest from fans via the bands MySpace and Bebo websites, giving Colenso Parade a growing fan-base.
