Bio
Cole entered the Texas Music scene with his first public performances in 1998, but he has been around music all his life. Before he could even talk, he was banging on a piano or trying to strum a guitar. When he was twelve years old he composed his first solo piano piece. Soon after this he began learning to play the guitar. His dad showed him a few chords, and he was off and going.
They say that the good songs or poems come to those who listen. Cole has always been a good listener, picking up bits and pieces of different styles and molding them into his own sound. He grew up listening to records by Texas music heroes like Guy Clark, Steven Fromholz, Willie Nelson and others. Cole started writing his own lyrics and music at age 13 and has since written over 50 songs to date. He is now a first year medical student at the University of North Texas Health Science Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Cole has been performing live off and on for the last five years or so, slowly gaining more experience. He performs a wide variety of Texas music covers, and of course his original works. Cole has opened shows for top-notch artists like Cory Morrow and Ray Wylie Hubbard. His first CD, Shadow of My Darker Self, was finished in February 2002. This CD is sold out. Recording on a new CD will begin in Fall 2004!
