Bio
"Colin Wilk is an up and coming singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, PA. Despite his young age, he is no newcomer when it comes to his music. He began playing the guitar at the age of six, and has been singing all his life. His music is often compared with the likes of John Mayer and Matt Nathanson. Some of his biggest influences in his music are bands such as the Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, and Howie Day.
He began playing live at the age of 13 at local open mics, and has gotten great feedback from them. When playing live, Colin uses his Washburn acoustic/electric guitar, along with his Digitech RP155 foot pedal used for loop sampling, and simple effects (delay, reverb, etc.)
Colin Wilk has been writing and recording his original songs in his bedroom on a simple computer setup and posting them online since mid 2008. Colin is using the feedback of his listeners to decide which originals he wants to record in a studio on his first CD, as soon as he can afford to do so."
