COLLIDE consists of former members of Crash Nelson, 100 Proof, Lofton, Soulbone, Don't Stop and Honor Among Thieves. Influences: Journey, Van Halen, Prince, Pearl Jam, Led Zepplin, Black Crowes, Janis Joplin, Miles Davis Marc Broussard and John Mayer.
What makes us different is our desire to pick music various genres, execute them honestly and show how they're really connected! Bobby Womack links to Journey, David Lee Roth to P-Funk, Marc Broussard to Lynryd Skynrd, and so on... COLLIDE's members have all played in various bands playing songs that all the other area bands played, because we thought we HAD to! We decided this time to play songs and artists you remember {new and old}, but don't always get to hear. Cause no one else plays them. Sure, we play Rebel Yell by Billy Idol and Waiting on The World to Change by John Mayer, because it's fun and audiences enjoy them. But who else plays Unchained by Van Halen or Hypnotize by Notorious B.I.G. or Valerie by Amy Winehouse.
We play music first and foremost for people to party! Audiences so far have been extremely pleased. Yours will be too!
