BandFolkSinger/Songwriter

Unique and appealling melodies that draw from James Taylor, John Denver, CSN and other accomplished acoustic musicians to bring the listener into the song, then lets them drift to wherever they would like to go.

Biography

My background simple - simply, a lifetime love affair with acoustic music that includes influences from James Taylor, John Denver, CSN, Dan Fogelberg, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, and Dave Matthews.

I have sought to listen, absorb and compile the best of their styles into a unique style that can go 'any place, at any time'.

I currently reside in Northern Colorado with my wife and family. I work closely with DerryBerry Audio in Denver.

Lyrics

Please Don't Say

Written By: Collin Craig Klepfer

Please don’t say I love you,

And please don’t say you care,
You know I will always love you,
Even though, I can’t be there,
Though I can’t be there

Sometimes when I hold you,

And you stare into my eyes,
They say you’ll always love me,
Even when I am not there,
When I am not there

And late at night in the darkness,
When you seem so far away,
I see your face in shadows,
And sometimes I call your name,
Sometimes I call your name

Piano + Guitar Instrumental

Guitar

Way down in the canyons,
Where the wind whispers your name,
I hear your voice in raindrops,
And the stars spell out your name,
The stars spell out your name

So, please don’t say I love you,
And please don’t say you care,
You know I will always love you,
Even though, I can’t be there,
Though I can’t be there

Cowboy Cadillac

Honey, I got me a Cowboy Cadillac,
A real nice pickup with 4X4.

Ain’t got no bells, ain’t got no whistles,
But she gets me to town like a guided missile!

I can,
Love in it,
Live in it,
Sleep in it,
Work in it,
I’ll keep on workin’ till the works all done.

(guitar)

Honey, I got me a Cowboy Cadillac,
When my baby sits beside me I can fly to the moon.

She’ll hit a hundred up at mountain pass,
And she’ll blow your doors off when I hit the gas!

I can,
Fish in it,
Hunt in it,
Plow in it,
Drive in it,
I’ll keep on drivin’ till the drivin’s all done.

(guitar)

Honey, I got me a Cowboy Cadillac,
No xenon lights, no gps, no Bose ster-e-o, no payment stress.

I could take on a Porsche or I could take on a beemer,
But weekend job is to find a screamer!

I can,
Haul in it,
Tow in it,
Eat in it,
Drank in it,
I’ll keep on drankin’ till the drank’s all gone.

(guitar)

Honey, I got me a Cowboy Cadillac,
A real nice pickup with 4X4.

The girls all like it cause the ride up,
I plan to own it till the day I die!

Because I’ll,
Jack it up,
Soup it up,
Tune it up,
Load it up,
And I’ll keep those wheels turnin’ when I the mud!

(guitar)

Honey, I got me a Cowboy Cadillac!

Cowboy’s Cadillac Lyrics, April 16, 2012 Copyright C. Klepfer
Honey, I got me a Cowboy’s Cadillac, just a real fine pickup with 4x4,
She ain’t got no bells, she ain’t got no whistles, but she gets me to town like a guided missile,
No xenon lights, no GPS, no finance company, no payment stress,
Honey, I got me a Cowboy’s Cadillac, just a real nice pick up with 4x4

Well, I live in it, love in it, I sleep in it and I work in it,
Keep on workin’ till that works all done,

Honey, I got me a Cowboy’s Cadillac, just jump on up and I’ll take you for a ride,
She’ll do a hundred up a mountain pass, blow your doors off when I hit that gas,
And the girls all like it cause they ride up high and I plan to owner he till the day I die,
Well, I dusted a Porsche and I dusted a Beemer, and my weekend job’s just a find a screamer,
Honey, I got me a Cowboy’s Cadillac, just a real nice pick up with 4x4

Well I hunt in it, fish in it, plow in it, tow in it,
Keep them wheels turnin’ when I hit that mud,
Well, I souped it up, I jacked it up, I load it up, and I tuned it up,
Just a real fine pickup with 4x4,
Honey, I got me a Cowboy’s Cadillac, jump on up and I’ll take you for a ride,
Honey, I got me a Cowboy’s Cadillac, just a real fine pickup with 4x4

Not Always There

NOT ALWAYS THERE
BY Collin Klepfer Copyright 2012

Hey there little darlin’
I don’t mean to stare
I walked in here in a daydream
Woke up to find you there

When they let me hold you
I stared into those eyes
Promised I’d always love you
Even when I have to say goodbye

Gazin’ through this window
You set my world on fire
Guess I’m gonna need to be
Not always there but never far

I’m layin’ here in the darkness
That day seems long ago
Thing back on all the memories
And how we need to let you go

I’ll be livin’ down in this canyon
Where the wind whispers your name
Remembering the good times
And the sun shinin’ through those trees

Those days went by so quickly,
They told that they would,
Now your on your way to somewhere,
Just like I know you know you should,

So please don’t say you love me ,
Like we’re gonna be apart,
Remember we I’ll always love you,
That we’re not always there but never far,

And please don’t feel sorry,
Sorry when your gone,
Remember we’re always with you,
Not always there but never far

And when you live your own life,
And you set your world on fire,
Remember all the good times,
And that we’re not always there but never far,
Not always there but never far.
