Bio

Since the release of his first album “A whisper in a riot” in late 2006, Colm Lynch has been on a musical mission that has brought him to all four corners of the land and beyond. Born and bred in Dun Laoghaire, Lynch honed his craft playing in the local pubs, clubs and venues from an early age. But it was the, now legendary, Sunday Session at IN, Dalkey that brought his talents to the attention of the wider locality.
It was the release of the critically acclaimed first album that put his musical stylings on show to the nation for the first time. It received glowing plaudits from the likes of Dave Fanning, Hotpress, The Irish Times, In Dublin and a host of other people and publications.
His current album, Ticketyboo, is picking up where he left off. While more polished, it still posesses the same characteristics that made his debut such a winner. Whether in a mellow mood or just plain aggressive, the music always comes from the heart. This is plain to see when witnessed in live performances. National tour dates are currently being added and his new single, “Kiss My Blues Away” is currently being played and playlisted on stations nationwide.
2010 has been very busy indeed with national radio appearances on The Pat Kenny Show and The Ray Foley Show, Also regional appearances on The Strawberry Alarmclock on FM104 and Dublin’s 98. With a Meteor Award nomination for best newcomer now under his belt the future looks bright for Colm Lynch.
