Bio
Colorblind Bio
In 2001 the band Colorblind formed in a small town on the outskirts of Adelaide South Australia called Strathalbyn.
Consisting of Kirsten Glover (vocals) Anthony Tucker (guitar) Chris Simmons (bass guitar) and Matt Rohde (drums), Colorblind began writting songs and over time developed a significant fanbase from a mix of radio airplay, festivals, all ages shows and pub gigs.
Colorblind has released 2 singles "Second Chance" and "Shadowman" both of which recieved the attention from Triple j, MMM and various other radio stations around the country.
Following live performances on Triple J and Channel 7's am show the band was nominated for best emerging artist at the Australian Live Music Awards which they were delighted to win.
A live performance on the basement.com.au global internet broadcast resulted in a phenomenal responce from all around the world, but in particularly from the U.S.A which the band hopes to exploit in the near future.
In the last 12 months Colorblind has seen and felt alot of growth both in song writting and live performance. Some of which can be put down to the inspiration and enthusiasm received from their newly added second guitar player Gerrit Ruff (ex Goofy Footer).
Together they have set about writting their own unique style of music bursting with hooky riffs, gritty rock beats and powerful soaring vocals. All of which, with the support of and in conjunction with Sing Sing Studio in Melbourne, are in the process of recording and plan to release as their debut Album in early 2006.
