"Piekno akordeonu (The beauty of accordion)"

[translation] The accordion player you know from "Poland's Got Talent" proves once again that his winning the first edition of the show was not a mistake. "Marcin Wyrostek & Coloriage" is a magnificent album, as far as can be from commercialised music. The musicians find inspiration in Latin-American music, which they take as the starting point for their jazz improvisations. The accordion is not the only source of delight - the performance of the bass player is also outstanding. Plus a special guest: Kayah. - Gosc Niedzielny

"Coloriage Marcina Wyrostka (The Coloriage of Marcin Wyrostek)"

[translation] "Coloriage" is a new project of the fenomenal accordion player Marcin Wyrostek. The French word "coloriage" means "to paint, to colour", and that is what their music is like - full of emotions, audacious, multicoloured.
The musicians have prepared new arrangements of classical compositions and jazz standards. They were also inspired by traditional folk music. The album takes the audience on a musical tour of Balkan, Hungarian, Roma, Jewish, and Latin-American melodies. Aside well-known pieces such as "Liebertango" or "Besame Mucho," the album features a number of pieces composed bye "Coloriage".
The musicians have been collaborating for more than 6 years. The first fiddle is... the accordion played by Marcin Wyrostek, a brilliant musician and professor of the Academy of Music, who gained wide fame and popular recognition after becoming the winner of the first edition of "Poland's Got Talent." It is thanks to him that the whole Poland has fallen in love with the sound of the accordion. - www.wiara.pl

Bio

The name COLORIAGE (French: colouring, painting) accurately describes the group’s music: audacious, full of expression, multicoloured. It is a collaboration of Marcin Wyrostek, an outstanding Polish accordion player, with Mateusz Adamczyk (violin), Piotr Zaufal (bass guitar), and Krzysztof Nowakowski (drums). The group has performed at festivals and concerts both home and abroad, in countries such as the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Scotland, the USA, or Hungary. The musicians perform new arrangements of classical compositions and jazz standards, and their concerts are energetic and lively performances inspired by folk music – Balkan, Hungarian, Greek, Roma, French, Latin-American, Polish, and Klezmer.
