The Company

In the summer of 2002, the story of our group began. Based on a genuine love for Hip Hop, the three members in our group The Company, Mario "Third World" Cepero, Lawrence "The Jernalist" Arevalo and Johnny "Doc Da Ruckus" Ridgill combined our creative talents to form an original sound. Our aim with our music is to reach people young and old from all parts of the world. Since our group's inception we have continually strived to produce an excellent quality of music.

The Music We Make, And Why We Make It:
Music to each of us is an outlet to celebrate the good and bad parts of life. We write songs that people can relate to for the satisfaction of evoking emotion with every track for every feeling for every fan. Tracks like "Real Life" tell stories of people we've encountered and who have endured the hardship of real life situations and situations we have had to deal with personally. For songs with such thought provoking demeanor, we choose beats with the most gravity to make our listeners reflect on their own lives and the lives of people around them. Although these songs touch our listeners and ourselves on a very personal level, this is only one quality of our music.
Another quality that hits well with our listeners are the smooth laid back attitude found in songs like "side show" . The infectious beats that accompany the laid back lyrical stylings in songs like this create a sense of euphoria that celebrates the lighter side of life. We make songs like this to give our listeners a warm feeling similar to a Sunday in the park, or driving on a nice day with the windows down, something to roll to.
Since our sound is influenced by the architects of hip hop, we feel a need to stay true to our hard core hip hop fans. We create songs like "Bump Bump" and pack them with punch lines and battle ready rhymes to excite feelings reminiscent of Run DMC, Rakim and KRS One. Ultimately these songs showcase our abilities as lyricists proving that we are not just a gimmick, but legitimate craftsmen of emceeing. Our educational backgrounds and ability to grasp different concepts makes songs like these relative to our listeners on a higher level.
Ultimately we make music because we have fun with it, we love it. We like making songs people can dance and party to. With club bangers like "1-2-1-2-345" with a catchy hook and solid beats, we are appealing to our top 40 listeners who like to go out and party. This upbeat sound is shaped by world culture and a lot of nights of dancing and getting fucked up. Our group is one of diversity and dynamic sound. We are regular people appealing to regular people and our mission is to make the world feel our music.
