Compelled

“The lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled (Lk 14:23).” Compelled is comprised of worship leaders from churches throughout the DelMarVa Dc area who came together in late 2008 with one purpose; worship. We, who are compelled, believe that we are servants of God, called to lead others into worship and praise.
We recognize and understand that “the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him (Jn 4:23).” Our goal is to encourage the believer and to draw the non-believer to Christ, so that we all would take part in the banquet that God has prepared for His children. We have answered God’s call and attest that “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the LORD’s favor has come (Lk 4:18).” The time is now. Now is the time to worship. Now is the time to praise. Now is the time to run to God.
Now is the time to experience Him with a fervor that we have yet to imagine. We who are compelled strive to fill the Lord’s house, not just with bodies, but to saturate it with worship from His people.
