Comrade Catbox is a blistering 8-limbed psychedelic monster composed entirely of frosty grooves. Guitarists Tyler Gibson and Ted Kazanecki brought in the biggest guns new to the rhythm section industry: snagging Ryan Brannan to thunder away on the drums; and Peter Noire, formerly the brainchild/frontman of StL space-rock behemoth Neonbraska, on bass.
All members play multiple instruments which allows a fluidity of movement and capability of instrument-by-instrument riffage unmatched in other local bands.
Reviews of the concerts go from Radiohead or Suede hard-rock to “Brian Jonestown-ish Art-Psych”. Catbox has been touring in advance of their EP Porcelain Pillows.
