Conditionblack

Conditionblack project was conceived in 2006 first by Michele Santamaria, the band’s guitarist at present; his intent was to melt the melodies till then created with the powerful and intense sound of the old and good Rock. But to do that, another new ingredient was needed, to catch the lovers of “Hard” and “Soft” , of “Old” and “New”, to give a unique identity to the project.
And this happened when he met Sara, present band singer and co-writer of the songs. Their meeting has been an explosive mixture; their writing is fast, natural and their songs are particularly catchy and new.
It’s not easy to label their songs under a precise music genre (maybe we don’t care about it so much) but they’re characterized by deep Hard-Rock /Metal guitars, original electronic sounds and an easy recognisable voice, sweet and clear but with a special Rock energy.
Almost any kind of Fan/listener would be able to find something, in their music, belonging to his/her tastes.
After recording their first demo “Nemesi”, Conditionblack took part to different music competitions like the Italian “Sanremo Rock” (where they performed in the finals) and “Cornetto Algida Festival”. Between 2007 and 2008 they collected their songs in a first CD, “When I’m not”, an important and well-done job carried out with the help of the well-known and acclaimed Genoese guitarist and arranger Andrea Maddalone. Their first CD, which will be out in Jan 2010, is a collection of songs chosen among others belonging to a vast repertoire the band had been ( and still is) working on. They wanted their first Cd to be immediate and easy recognisable.
It wasn’t easy for the band to have a fix and stable live line-up. But at the beginning of 2009 they finally did it and two great members joined the band: Francesco Molinelli (bass) and Christian Parisi (drums) . Both played with successful musicians and bands ( Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth) Athlantis, Fabio Lione, Cadaveria, Zorn, Raza de Odio)
With this new line up and a good ensemble that play well together, Conditionblack are back on the scene.
In may 2009 they perfomed live for “Tour Music Fest Competition” with the song “Hidden in the dark” and got through the first selections towards the next one in Milan, in October.
In june 2009 they have been signing for the American label Arctic Music Records www.myspace.com/arcticmusicgroup (Florida-USA) and their first CD is expected to be out in January 2010 with a European promotional tour.
An Italian promotional tour starting in September is also planned.
Now, they are recording the promo-video of the single “Feel the silence” and, as ever, they keep writing on and Rocking for a second CD.

Influences: Every member of the band brings in Conditionblack songs style his own influences coming from many different bands, music styles and periods, from Heavy Metal to Hard Rock, from Blues to Electronics and Pop– Rock.
