"Out of ConFusion"

"Out of ConFusion" is a timeless, guitar-driven blues-rock album with clear 70s rock influence from Austrian quintet ConFused 5. One thing is for certain: there is no confusion in ConFused 5`s musical capabilities. First formed in 1981 under the name Frust, the members of ConFused 5 have made their rounds in the musical world and deliver as professionals would on each track of this album. The 70s influenced arrangements are accompanied by great vocal performances and outstanding harmonic group vocals on many of the choruses, resulting in an overall sound reminiscent of Deep Purple. The songs are enjoyably distortion heavy, with catchy choruses and a great timeless quality. "Out of ConFusion" is also well-produced and meant to be played loudly. "Because of You" is a bluesy number with great guitar solos and the catchy chorus, "All the things we do/We do because of you." "Why Me" incorporates the saxophone and organ into the melodic arrangement. It also features great storytelling lyrics about the redundancy of life and the lyricists incredulousness towards it. "No One" is a reggae rock track reminiscent of The Clash and The Police with more great group vocals. Ironically, ConFused 5 appears to be certain in their talent and musical abilities and deliver on each and every track of "Out of ConFusion." Fans of blues-rock, with a 70s influence, you're going to want to check this one out. - Chris & the RadioIndy.com Review Team

"CD review"

Have you seen the movie "Still Crazy"? It was about a British rock band. Confused5s music reminds me of that movie in the most positive way. This is classic 1970s rock played with grit and passion. Arrangements are interesting, Herbert`s vocals are memorable and melodies are simply beautiful, very ear-catching. For some loud loud listening when I am in a rock mood "Out Of Confusion" is my choice, a very good CD.

Anyway, thank you for some great rock-meets-blues music. I will be happy to play it on the air - www.blues.pl/draheim

Bio

After only a few months, ConFused 5 has earned an international recording contract with the innovative music platform www.sellaband.com.

The resulting CD production, with Pete Strobl at the helm, is reminiscent of the great rock productions of the late 70s and early 80s. No surprise as Pete Strobl took part in productions like Tom Jones Sex Bomb, Keb`Mo`s Grammy nominated "Suitcase" and Mark Knopflers "Shangri La" during his years as studio manager at the world famous Shangri La Studio.
Strobl teamed up with Ron Hitchcock for the mix sessions. Hitchcock, a well respected producer and engineer in his own right, has had a hand in recordings by Toto, Rita Coolidge and Kris Kristofferson and reached Platinum status with seven Neil Diamond albums.

"Out Of Confusion", the brand new CD from ConFused 5, stands tall among classic rock albums. The melodic hooks and big sound conjure memories of sta dium rock acts like Genesis, Foreigner and REO Speedwagon. A pleasant surprise for fans looking for great music in the traditional rock style.
