Biography

Conjure Hands breathes new life into traditional blues with Tony Rogers on guitar, dobros and vocals along with Kerry Brooks who plays upright bass and mandolin. Tony and Kerry, who both work with singer Robin Rogers, started Conjure Hands as a side project. They recently won the 2006 Charlotte Blues Society Blues Challenge. Kerry Brooks is a trained jazz player who grew up playing the Blues. Although Kerry has only been playing mandolin for a short time, he has excelled quickly. Tony Rogers has studied traditional styles of music with Ernie Hawkins, Roy Bookbinder, Steve James, Del Ray, Jorma Kaukenon, Pat Donahue and Mike Dowling.
