Formed early this year, Atlanta-based ConKrete God has already been making waves on the rock scene for their bold and powerful approach to their music and genre. Naming Van Halen, 24-7 Spyz and Mothers Finest as their musical influences, the band forges a distinctive sound from across the rock spectrum, and performs it with so much energy you can’t look away.

Following the dissolution of their previous band, members Kewl, Auslander and L.T. stayed together to form what they call a “balls-to-the-walls rock band.” Upon coming across their now-lead singer Denitra (Buu’Ti Haus), they immediately knew she was exactly who they needed to make it all work out. They later brought onboard drummer Lindsey LeCoda, and together they make music with as powerful a message as it has an undeniable sound.

"Underdogs of Atlanta’s music scene Black punk rockers create their own lane"

Buu’Ti Haus looks and acts the part of a punk rocker.
Wearing a loosely tied kimono, complete with heeled platform sneakers and a purple sequined flower in her hair, she stands on stage at Atlanta’s Union EAV bar and tosses a fistful of glitter into the faces of the delirious crowd of about 60 people.

The audience is a potpourri of black people. Some are dressed in button-up shirts and loafers. Others in ripped jeans, colored hair, ear gauges and piercings. One girl stands in front of the stage swaying and flashing icy blue eyes winged with black eyeliner.

Buu’Ti Haus, whose real name is Denitra Isler, turns her back on the crowd to face her band, Conkrete GOD.

The drummer — large and shirtless with star-shaped tattoos across his chest — provides the tempo, followed by the bass and guitars, while Buu’Ti Haus winds her hips to the beat. -

Still working on that hot first release.

THIS IS ROCK MUSIC! Hard and heavy, Atlanta-based ConKrete God pulls no punches. This music is 100% Conkrete AF! Their influences range the musical spectrum from Bad Brains to Van Halen to 24-7 Spyz to Mothers Finest.

Coming from very different musical backgrounds, they combine the heart (melodic) with the rock (heavy guitar riffs), not to mention thoughtful lyrics that push the boundaries of rock music beyond the glory days and into the 21st century with a unique style and sound of their own.

In the face of computer-programmed, disposable music, rock music still has a lot to say. --Conkrete God CKG4L
