Connelly

Connelly

BandRockAlternative

Connelly is not your typical hardcore band. No gimmicks, no dramatics, just good music. With nothing to prove and limitless potential these Orange County locals focus on keeping a tight relationship between creativity and intensity. They are sure to impress even the most critical listener.

Biography

In a genre that favors style, substance is hard to come by. Up-and-comers, Connelly, are building a reputation of pursuing the latter by establishing themselves with solid song-writing and intense live performances. Each member learned the ropes of the Orange County music scene from working in former bands; Tom Dawson (vocals) and Ryan Blincoe (keys & electronics) in one, and Ryan Jiminez (guitar), Jason Pagano (bass), Shea D'Amore (drums & vocals), and Mark Milward (guitar) coming from another. Past experience led them to accept nothing less than excellence in their music and performance.

After locking themselves in a rehearsal studio for a year, they went into the studio with legendary producer, Paul Miner (Death By Stereo, Thrice, Throwdown) to record their debut EP. "We wanted perfection; The best out of all of us," Mark Milward stated. Taking the time to refine every detail in and out of Buzzbomb studios became compulsory, from rewriting song structure to editing feedback effects, nothing was overlooked.

Connelly's EP "The Inevitable Truth," is aiming to impress and will be self-released in early summer. They are setting up tour dates for late summer.

Lyrics

All Ashore, Who's Coming Ashore

Written By: Connelly

hot damn, were going down
pride of the fleet, a diamond to the eye of
time that has come, and caught me off guard.
theres nothing i can do, theres nothing we can hold onto,
the waters too bloodthirsty to keep our bodies swiming.
im coming ashore. (chorus)
watch the sky turn even darker than before.
hold me close as creation turns destruction.
we did this to ourselves.
well, are we capable of holding our own,
or can we jsut learn to accept our fate?
(chorus)
until theres no pulse, destruction.
it all just ends, takes us back to nothing.
is there anything that can save us?
(chorus)
we need attention on this deck,
theres been an intervention.
when i see a red sash, i kill it.

Formally Dressed For Apocalypse

Written By: Connelly

I dont think you understand
I dont think you even know
How you marooned me here
How you left me all alone
So brace yourself, for honesty
We've grown so cold, Our mouth's refuse to shut.
The end awaits, so savor it
Lets pace ourselves, lets pace ourselves
I dont think you understand
I dont think you even know
How you marooned me here
How you left me all alone
Business comes first, so lets get down to it
Were dressed for apocolypse,
Were dressed for apocolypse

(chorus)
All Im wanting is to be, be the one you run to
The one you're running to, not from

Put your faith where your mouth is
You're running out of time, your running in circles
Put your faith where your mouth is
Perfection has it's end, and it starts with today

I dont think you understand
How you marooned me here
how you left me all alone
Business comes first, so lets get down to it
Were dressed for apocolypse,
Were dressed for apocolypse

(chorus)

My heart is beating faster tonight
