Connie Muhammad, formerly known as Nutmeg, is an accomplished singer, songwriter, lyricist and producer known for her hip-hop record "Ghettos Child" which featured rap legend Kool G Rap. Recently recognized by Radio Phoenix http://www.radiophoenix.org/ by earning a "You Got Soul" appreciation award, She has performed live with major artists such as Ce Ce Peniston, Kieth Murray, Christopher Williams, and rapper Skeelo as well. Connie has collaborated with Phoenix, Az hip-hop locals; Bookie, Vontel, California hitmaker Battlecat, Suga Free, and more! Connie has developed her content lyrically which makes her a amazing songwriter. Musically, she is edgy but now placed in the neo -soul/alternative geanre. The Sound
She takes on a total metamorphosis with neo-soul, jazz, and hip-hop elements with this experimental project. Self-produced and laced with her soaring vocals and riveting social commentary. Connie has a strong work ethic, and even continued performing thru her last pregancy. Her stage show is captivating not only because of her strong , melodic vocals. But also because she has great stamina and has helped mentor other artists in her community on giving the best performances. Connie has been performing since she was 8 years old. That , alongwith her experience garantees a pleased audience! She has performed nationwide in cities such as Chicago, Il, Memphis, Tn, Harlem, New York, and Los Angeles, Ca.
