Conradh's Follies

Formed in the spring of 2008, originally titled "Conradh Quinn" after our piper and guitarist, Bruce's Gaelic namesake, we began playing parties and shows around the neighborhood for friends and relatives as a 2 piece live act. Soon realizing that our particular styles appealed to an older generation through the choice of songs and traditional melodies but also to a younger crowd through our use of up-tempo, fun loving, punk rock sensibilities we decided to form a larger group and pursue gigs more steadily under the title "Conradh's Follies" or for short "The Follies".
Our 1st album, Conradh Quinn, has been getting plays and downloads all over the globe so we are currently working on our sophomore release. On record we like to include traditional Irish instruments such as the Scottish Highland Pipes, Bodhran, Flute, Mandolin and Banjo to our "no-holds barred" folk/punk sound. We are hoping to continue to play some great shows outside of our home-town of Chicago in the next years.
