Constant L. Burts

March 27,1988 Constant L Burts was born on the south side of Chicago, IL, where he was raised by his mother (Essie) his sister (Teneshia) and grandmother (Mary) on 35th Cottage Grove. The life and talent of music came to Constant when he was 3 years old. From singing in the church choir to writing poetry, Constant didn’t realize the path he was coming to at such a early age. At the age of 5 Constant L. Burts was singing and doing local talent shows. He grew up listening to the oldies and gospel music not really knowing what Rap music was. Constant caught an interest in Hip Hop when an older friend in his choir introduced it to him. By the age of 7 Constant and his family knew something was wrong with his health by the way he walked and his physical appearance. As he slowly drifted away from sports and physical activities he began to get more interested and serious with music. Constant got into the habit of writing songs and freestyling. In high school is where Constant found out he had another Talent, acting. Constant L. Burts started doing high school plays and became popular for it. His sophomore year he join a hip-hop group called The Movement along with two of his close friends GQ2kool and BlacBlaze. Like any young future rap artist they created a buzz in Champaign county by passing out Cd’s and rocking the stage at local clubs. Before he knew it Constant had his first spin on the hottest radio station in Champaign county, Hot 105.5. Dj Supa saw the talent in this group and this young man. Today Constant L. Burts is moving forward in his career. Having his record "What Up" spun in several clubs in the midwest as well as being able to ROCK many venues, is the best motivation for Constant to continue to move forward.
