Constrictor

The band arose from the ashes of the band Asylüm, which was the former project of guitarist Kyle Kelly. He is the basic original member of this band and searched for the other members to fill up the rest of the spots in the band. Kyle first met up with Matt Beckett back when he asked him to try out for Asylüm. After that band fell apart, Kyle just loittered around in limbo for awhile. One day Kyle saw Matt in the mall and Kyle asked Matt if he wanted to sing on his demo he was goign to record for college admission. Matt said sure, and thus the first step was taking towards doing a full band. Matt and Kyle practiced a couple times before they decided to do an actual band. They asked the former Asylüm drummer, Lex Lawless to do it, but in time he backed out. In the midst of all this Kyle managed to gather seven other bands and plan a benefit concert for December 2005. He decided to bless the event with the name, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. At the band meeting for the show Kyle asked THE EARTHEN drummer Adam Blok if he wouldn't mind filling in. Adam quickly accepted and CONSTRICTOR was on its way. We have since added bassist Josh Bishop to the line-up and played our first show on Dec 10/05 at THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS benefit concert.
