Bio

Emerging from the small town of Wagoner, Oklahoma is a band that pushes themselves to be among the best, not only in their musical genre, but in the music scene as a whole. When you are hanging out with your friends discussing the hottest new acts out there, it is the intention of Consumed by Fire to make music so great that their name must be mentioned in that discussion.

They hit the scene in the Summer of 2006 and have been running at full-speed ever since. For anyone who has followed "Consumed by Fire" from it's "infant-stages" to now, know that practically everything about the band has progressed so much that they are nearly unrecognizable in every aspect of their game, compared to what they were nearly three years ago.

In the Summer of 2007 the guys hit the open road on "The Sweet Mamma South Tour" in which they headlined for 3 weeks long, in support of their new release entitled, "The EP." This tour was a huge-step-forward in the expansion of the band's fan base in the southern-region of the United States. Currently, the band is writing and preparing for the production of their Full-Length Debut, which has not been given a release date at this time.

With the way they seem to be writing for the release of their full-length, they could definitely be called one of Oklahoma’s Up-And-Coming Acts to Look Out for in 2008 and abroad. Listening to any of their newer songs, you can’t help but get the feeling that ANYONE and EVERYONE will fall in love with their unique style, and smashing harmonies that seem to hit you right in the face as soon as your ears hear these amazing sounds coming forth.

“I remember when the guys asked me to join the band. For me, it was like a double whammy (laughs), because I was not only gonna be apart of what I thought was an amazing band at the time, but I was gonna be apart of my favorite band too! (laughs) Seriously though, these guys are like my brothers, so I am super stoked to be able to travel the world with them ministering to the broken, until Jesus comes back, and after," says bassist, Ervin Smith.

You could literally see this band play in just about any type of venue with their sound that seems to be the music for all ages. “Our goal is to make music that attracts people from every background, no matter what their musical preference may be. It's one of the coolest feelings in the world to have someone come up to you after a show and explain to you how they don't typically like this kinda music, but they like us. That's just too cool. (chuckles)” Says guitarist and vocalist, Caleb Ward.

That seems to be true after getting a response like this from an Arkansas Promoter:

"Consumed by Fire came in and unapologetically presented the gospel in front of a crowd that would typically boo or make a scene when a Christian band started talking about the Lord..and the kids stood there silently and listened. There was a spirit about them of respect toward all men that just demanded the respect of those watching. I will definitely be booking Consumed by Fire again!"

The band just recently got out of the studio recording, the single that is planned to drop first from their debut-album, with Emmy-Award Winning Producer Jason Elgin (Collective Soul, CREED, Lynam, Maylene & The Sons of Disaster). The single has been posted on a couple of their networking sites (myspace & pure volume) so be sure to check out the single that is planned to spearhead their upcoming release.

"Recording with a world class producer like Jason Elgin, is not only a dream come true and an experience of a lifetime for us as a band, but it's also what we feel will be a stepping stone for us as a band that will challenge us to take our music to where it needs to be," says drummer and vocalist, Jordan Ward.

I think it is safe to say that these guys will be a band that you will be able to look back on in the near future and say, “I remember them WHEN….” So, jump on the bandwagon now, while there’s still room.
