Bio

Gwyn Beaver (vocals) : Gwyn is originally from Texas and moved to Montréal in 2004. She has a master's degree in voice, and continues to present recitals in the United States. In 2007, Gwyn was a special guest artist, along with Oliver Jones, who performed with the Montréal Jubilation Choir. Her CD, Remembrance : A Celebration of the African-American Spiritual, was recorded in September of 2011.

Michael Busby (guitar) : Michael holds a BFA Specialization in Jazz from Concordia University as well as a D.E.C. In music and Certificate in Jazz Studies from Vanier College. He has studied with Remi Bolduc, Charles Ellison, Marc Villemure and Greg Clayton. Michael is a certified Montréal Academy teacher.

Barbara Canterbury (vocals) : Barbara was born in British Guiana (Guyana) and began singing in her early teens. A versatile singer, she easily displays her gift through the genres of blues, jazz, gospel and soul.

James Elliott (piano) : James has lived in Montréal for 3 years. He's originally from Saffron Walden in Essex located in the south eastern part of England. James studied piano and composition. He especially loves jazz from the 20s and 30s, and is greatly inspired by the style of Oscar Peterson.

Patricia Wang (violin): Patricia has been trained as a classical violinist but is currently completing a D.E.C. in jazz violin at Cégep de Saint-Laurent. In high school, she did a tour in France with her school's symphonic orchestra. Patricia is being taught by Zoé Dumais from the Felix-award winning band "Sagapool". She is from Montreal.

Ross White (double bass) : Ross has worked in the field of autism for the past 25 years, and is currently an educational computer specialist. In a previous lifetime, he was active as a musician in British Columbia and Montréal, and was a member of the ensembles Lion and the Child and Night Kitchen.
