Contour is a band out of the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario Canada. They are an alternative hard rock band with influences ranging from Alexisonfire to System of A Down. They are constantly raising the bar in the way the play and write their music by breaking away from the common molds of gender specific music. I have not had the pleasure of seeing one of their live shows but just by listening to their music you can here and feel the intensity and energy that they bring to the stage. Although they parted ways with their original singer Travis with whom they recorded a few songs, his departure was for the better. Now kayle Goguen doing double duty as guitarist and vocals adds a notable difference with raw power, intensity and emotion. There are 2 singles from 2012 you can check out Beg and Borrow and Won't Back Down. There newest single Bridges which will be on an upcoming Ep and you can check it out on sound cloud

Contour is a new and upcoming Alt/Hard Rock band based in the Greater Toronto Area. We focus on creating energentic, thought provoking music to create our own following. Contour is founded upon the principle of creating something unique and passionate without playing along to trending genres. Influenced largely from bands that started in the late 90's to early 2000's, we have watched our favourite bands die off. Contour hopes to continue on where bands like alexisonfire, thrice, system of a down and underoath left off - pushing boundaries, creating genres and fusing new forms of art and music together. In short, We make the music that we want to hear.
