Bio

Contramano started as a whisper in Pablo’s ear from a muse named Erin on la siesta de June 22nd of 2001 while walking on 19th street and 5th Avenue, in New York.
The Band as it’s put together now, started a year and a half later. After moving to New York and playing solo for a year, Pablo put an ad on craigslist.org in November 2002, where he found the other two members.
Two weeks later, the Spanish Eugeni Camacho rang the bell. Pablo felt that he was the perfect drummer for Contramano, but Eugeni needed some time to take
a decision, you know in Spain people move slower.
So, after two more weeks of meeting humdrum drummers and not hearing anything from the Espanol, Pablo Called back Eugeni and asked him: "Are you in or not?"
Eugeni responded: “Si, me apeteze” (Yes, it whets my apetite)", So, "ponete las Pilas" Pablo said, " There’s no time to waste".
Dave Wallin showed up to play the bass on a Saturday afternoon in November 2002 and left on a Sunday morning in July 2004. The jazzman-Argentine-super talented Bass player Martin Balik has filled the empty space since then.Their first show was on Tuesday December the 13th of 2002.
