Cook Doo

Cook Doo are a three-piece band hailing from Aberdeen, Scotland. The band formed early 2010 through a close friendship and huge interest in creating and performing music that has never been heard before.

Although the band do not focus on the same sound in every song, it is easy to distinguish Cook Doo's music from the rest. Whether you recognise the hard, distorted bass lines or the sharp and intricate guitar riffs. The one commonality that each song may hold is the possibility of a strange and wonderful time signature which may feature at any point through out a tune. We pride ourselves on creating music which is totally unpredictable, yet accessible to the listener and this is what we feel separates us from every other band.

When playing live, Cook Doo transfer as much energy and passion into performances as possible. This is generally uncontrollable and comes naturally creating a good atmosphere for the crowd and band. The band have been described countless times as sounding "BIG" and "tight" both of which we strive to achieve in every live set.

We are influenced by bands such as Biffy Clyro, Muse and Enter Shikari. All of whom bring maximum energy into their performances but musically have great talent when creating their music initially. The combination of the two is what Cook Doo believe is the recipe for success.
