"In the Pink is fantastic!"

"In the Pink is fantastic! Love the writing, harmonies and I think most of all the production. There are a couple of songs on Pink that sound like they came right off a reel from Abbey Road Studios around the White Album:) your voices are great together."

Biography

Bob Cooney and Glenn Eliot are Cooney & Eliot. The two singer/songwriters hooked up in the mid 70's where they played concerts and clubs throughout the Pennsylvania and Maryland area.
They frequently appeared as an acoustic duo, but also performed as a 4 piece rock group. Their style spanned country finger-picking blues, heartfelt ballads and humorous social commentary.

One reason they gained a large loyal following was due to the popularity of their original tunes. Their songs set them apart from the many cover groups performing at that time. They have shared the bill at live shows with such artists as the Outlaws at Merriweather Post Pavilion Columbia Md., Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary, David Bromberg, Richie Havens and Asleep at the Wheel and others. They recorded an album of original material, entitled, "Champagne Shampoo", which received great press coverage and local airplay.

Bob and Glenn went their separate ways in the early 80's. Glenn continued to make his living as a traveling musician for the next 10 years. He released 3 EP recordings before establishing himself as a successful guitar instructor and studio musician. Bob semi-retired from the music business for about 10 years and returned in the mid 90's as a solo acoustic artist. He released the CD, "Bones" in 1997 and continued performing until the recent reunion of Cooney & Eliot in 2007.

Their recently released 2010 CD, “In the Pink” is an all original 16 song collection that spans many styles from sensitive ballads to smokin' blues. These well crafted songs are filled with lush harmonies and tasteful guitar work. They are appearing now at hand-picked venues, displaying their new songs along with their extensive other original offerings.

The duo can be viewed on "You Tube" as Cooney & Eliot, My Space (with 10.000 friends), or their web page, Cooneyandeliot.com, where you can sample and buy their recordings, read press releases and see photos from the 70's up to now.
