"Rag Magazine (August 2006)"

Copasetic, and everything is, when listening to this band. Besides the fact that they recently won the 15,000 dollar Rocking Idol Battle of the Bands at Revolution in June, Warner A&R Reps scored them the highest out of all 50 bands that participated and asked me to send them their CD. And it is easy to understand why, cause these boys are good. They are an emotive, technically sound, rock and roll masterpiece of a band, that can paint out a love ballad that is worthy of Tristan and Isolde, just as easily as they give us uptempo alternative rock songs with catchy riffs and heartfelt lyrics. It is not only their Music that makes this band great, but it is also their presence. Using their stage as their canvas they have an almost mystical like "Kundun" as Frontman Rino Cerbone has found music's version of the "Philosoper's Stone, " by achemizing word and sound into pure emotion and projecting that to their understandably large following. Influenced by music such as Incubus, Atreyu, Hoobastank and The Lost Prophets, Copasetic can leave you crying with their third track on their Myspace page called "Seven" (What, I aint afraid to be moved to tears by a piece of music) or Instill you with some confidence by listening to the lyrics of their first track called "Self-Proclaimed, " a Blink-182 like self-portrait which deals with making it on your own and not caring what other people think of you. Good words to live by Copasetic. Of course, I'm sure you could care less what I think, but here it is anyway.

"On The Rise: Copasetic (January 2006)"

www.inflictionpress.com

In just two years, South Florida locals Copasetic have taken the scene by storm. Copasetic is Rino Cerbone on vocals, Alex Plesher on guitar, David Klein on the drums, and Dan Uricoli on bass. Already with their EP Unanswered Questions and live local shows, they have drawn a large fan base. Their energetic showcase fills the room with around 150 people. The crowd at Copasetic shows have a wide-range of ages, proving that all ages love the unique alternative rock sound. Andrew DiNardo had this to say about the band, “Copasetic is the band taking it back to the basics, involving their fans and turning them into friends and their music is extremely heartfelt with a stellar live performance that no one can deny. From the first time I saw Copasetic until now, their intensity has only grown, and they still capture my every emotion, from tears to extreme happiness, Copasetic brings everything to the table.” Copasetic has just recently finished recording their full-length album, which should be out in early 2006. Often Copasetic’s inspiration for song writing comes from personal anecdotes and experiences. Bass player, Dan Uricoli says, "I feel the music...I get into it, because I love it, it’s what I love to do, things race through my mind, from what color my underwear were that morning to good memories back in the day...my grandfather, although not with me, keeps me going, and I know he is helping me out along this journey." Right now, they have written a total of ten songs. When asked if he ever thought he would be in a band, Dan replied with, “No, I always thought I’d just be your average kid. I never did anything, just sat around and played hockey a bit. Then, one day I picked up an instrument and now here I am. It’s really weird. I’m the only one in my family that plays any type of instrument. I got into the music thing in 8th grade, when being thug ghetto was the cool thing to do. I guess I found myself? Yeah, that’s it. I found myself and who I was. In 9th grade, I went to my first concert and since then I’ve been hooked. I wanted to be one of them. Alex informed us that he never though he was going to be in a successful band. He was just never able to find the right people. But with these guys that he has in Copasetic, the chemistry works. He says, “They are not just band mates, they are my best friends.” A year from now, Copasetic hopes to be out of here and on tour, selling their records, making new friends and fans, and showing the world their music. They are sure to be the next big thing in the music world. - Christina Roberts
