""5 Minutes With Copia Doble Systema""

Den sprælske og farverige cumbia duo, Copia Doble Systema producerer nyt live-album for den indisk/amerikanske hip hop artist Alo Wala - Red Bull Music Studios (blog/studio)

"Mad Decent review #5 "Caliente Mal Dicen""

Meaning DAMN SON!! Where did you find this? Let’s keep the heat in the North Side of the planet and let’s bring some fire to the South hemisphere.

Today’s post will cover some of the most relevant “Latin-Inspired” releases from all over the globe, but mostly 3 great comebacks from Cumbia Pioneers that without even talking released their newest work very recently: Heavy Bass is dropped in Cocobass’ Sueños De Marimba
This one is Joelito & Copia Doble Systema version ( The whole EP includes Bumps, Isa GT, and many more) - Mad Decent (blog/label)

"Mad Decent review #3 "African Renaissance""

So let’s get started!! Kuduro, Kwaito, Angolan Music, Ethnic, and Global bass have been more active than usual in the hands of some of the great names in the scene.Somehow, a moombah-trap fed up, led some of these guys to the African continent.Perhaps it was just great timing, or just simply coincidence, or a silent collective agreement to work Few days ago, Nadastrom dropped a wicked remix of the very best’s Yoshua Alikuti, which seems to match perfectly with all this new African inspired Renaissance.

Mad Decent’s/Jeffree own Sickhead EP is actually a great futuristic 3ball, and when The very best sent Copia Doble Sistema a remix request they saw both stems matched perfectly!!! the result? This wicked Remix! This song can be found in Copia doble sistema’s soundcloud as well!!! If you haven’t heard the original.. it will be posted in the bottom part of this post. - Mad Decent (blog/label)

"Mad Decent review #2 "Sickhead""

The remixe (...) of Copia Doble Systema continue where he left off by flipping the track to whole new territories. - Mad Decent (blog/label)

"Mad Decent review #1 "Cumbia Revolution""

t is amazing of how important this genre has became in the last years, and the media coverage from Traditional to Digital has soared as well. Every genre in the Global Bass context has been infected with the cumbia virus.
Or May we suggest a cumbia Revolution?

"Mad Decent review #4 "Carribean Bass""

Next one is Bombaclatastic KILLAH and FREE.. Milangeles & Copia Doble Systema! - Mad Decent (blog/label)

""Obvious Talent Closed The Grand Party""

Hun skabte (nye) forbindelser. - Politiken (printed newspaper, Denmark)

""La Mercè balla jotes i cúmbies digitals""

Catalan newspaper, Ara, says:
"Caught by the rhythm, many continued the party with danish Copia Doble Systema, playing cumbia in an electronic style. If the impact of a group on Plaça Joan Corominas was about who got most dust kicked up by the people dancing, then the victory was undeniable. In fact, it was." - Ara (printed newspaper, Spain)

""Y el cuerpo fue el rey""

Spanish national newspaper, El Pais, says:
"...Copia Doble Systema's caribbean & cumbia inspired music, done in a viking style, and delivered in a demolition set." - El Pais (printed newspaper, Spain)

Bio

The norwegian dj and musician Copyflex started Copia Doble Systema in Copenhagen, Denmark 2009, heavily taken by the digital cumbia that fused electronic music and local beats of the Americas. By slowing down techno and adding cumbia beats, he really felt at home. The first crew was consisting of Copyflex and his longtime partner in music, the danish jungle producer Jens Fokking.

They quickly started to produce and do shows in larger and smaller constellations, maxing it with an orchestra of 11 people, and eventually forming a live trio based on the future bass producer and drummer Julius Sylvest, visual artist Mad Es and Copyflex. Now they're doing shows all over the world. Their range of venues goes from squats, block parties and glitzy clubs in Cairo to the Royal Library in Copenhagen. Everybody needs the vikingos and their own take on tropical bass! So far Copia Doble Systema has managed to play countless indoor and outdoor events, some of the best ones being the Distortion Festival (Copenhagen), Roskilde Festival and at R.A.W. They have also been overseas in numerous locations. Magic moments went down at the Notting Hill Carnival (London), in Vietnam, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Egypt, Wales and the Faroese Islands to name a few.

Their debut EP 'Cumbia Colegiala', came out on Urban World Records spring 2010, and their cover version of the classic Colegiala became an instant hit in the emerging tropical music scene. Their second EP 'Revolution' got big attention, as the remix by Schlachthofbronx of the song Revolution gained a shower of attention and airplays. The EP's has received airplay and mixtape love in BBC's Diplo And Friends, Flosstradamus mixes, Branko of Buraka Som Sistema and many other major movers of the global bass scene.

Copia Doble Systema is getting close support from tastemakers like Diplo (Mad Decent, Major Lazer), Gilles Peterson (BBC), El Hijo De La Cumbia (Bersa Discos), Dj Sinden (Grizzly, Domino, KissFM), Toy Selektah (Mad Decent), Villa Diamante (ZZK) and Schlachthofbronx (Man Recordings, Disco B) amongst others.

They are also very proud to have worked with great artists such as Fauna, El Hijo De La Cumbia, Milangeles, Raske Penge, Soom T, Kidd, The Clerk, Klumben, Douster, Dj Mouse, Boody B, El Remolon, Dj Hvad, System, Mo Fire, dj/Rupture, MAFFI, Schlachthofbronx and many more.
