Coppermouth

The dynamic sounds of Coppermouth are echoing over the city of Winnipeg. These sounds can be experienced by entering any one of the many local showcase venues. You will probably also hear the sounds of gossip and praise from the rapidly growing fan base that have turned this energetic rock quartet into Winnipegs latest buzz band.

It began in the year 2000 when the songs of 16yr old Matt Cairns began to attract the interest from musicians anxious to form a band. Matt was soon joined by Shane Woods, Len Marcoux, & Nathan Lysack. Over the next couple years, the band had developed into a high energy, songwriting machine. Whether acoustically around a campfire, or on stage in front of screamin chicks, the songs of Coppermouth fill you with emotion, and keep you singing long after the show is done.

In 2002, the internet presence was felt with their first single "Catch" hitting the #1 spot on "Garagebands.com" where it stayed between #1 & #13 for twelve consecutive weeks. "Catch" and "Push" were also in the top spots on the Winnipeg section of mp3.com. Eight months later, they were awarded a factor demo grant amd are now ready to release their new EP: "What you'd say". Their explosive live show has gained the recognition of Winnipeg show promoters, club owners, musicians, and most of all, fans.

With an arsenal of catchy, melodic songs & thought provoking lyrics, this talented quartet will be turning heads not only in Winnipeg, but across the country in the very near future.
