Bio

Ive been playing piano since i was 5, but i class myself as average.I love my boogie n blues, and classical also.Even love songs! I started guitar at aged 8, and this is my true passion. Led zep and Hendrix were my first real inspirations. I got a drum kit when i was 10, and love percussion. I started singing at the same age, and went to several teachers for all of these instruments. My first gig when i was 12 went off!! My mate played an old kit, and i strummed out on an old strat to about 50 drunk adults!! Who loved every song!! Thats where my desire, and addiction to playing live began. My influences grew to a very wide, alternative group of genres including... the beatles and stones. the doors. uriah heap. nazareth. king krimson. captain beefheart. nick cave.roy buchanan. guns n roses. metallica. iron maiden.bob dylan.bob marley, and heaps more.
I then started playing gigs as much as possible, at the hotel where my mum worked, the local footy club, and as many partys as i could!!
This is when i started writing original songs, and continue to do so today.
At 15 Me and a few mates formed a band, named munch box, which played anything from punk rock, blues and rap and even mellow stuff. We rocked, and all us were extremely talented, unique musos, but i moved interstate and we fell apart. I joined another band at 18(liquid cannister) as a lead singer with the odd burst of lead and rythym guitar. The other members were all ex members of THE BEARDED CLAMS. To me, they were the most popular, vibrant thrash band in Adelaide, so to be their front man was overwhelming and awesome! we had some wild gigs, and some bad ones too!! as I guess every band does.. We released a 5track Cd, which went to number 30 on 3d fm(adelaides local station) with our hit song, BELIEVE, making it to number 13.
We recorded a full album cheaply. But it was never released.
Over a 3 year period,we played gigs all over adelaide, pubs, clubs and partys.
Since then, i moved to the daintree in qld and have been writing heaps of stuff, jamming heaps and not playing enough live gigs. The scene up there just isnt happening. Ive recently bought a home recording studio, and have started recording as much as I can. Ive written heaps up there as my inspiration is flowing!! I need help bad to get my stuff heard as i feel i can make it, and it is my lifelong dream to be a successful muso. I will never stop striving to reach my goal.
I love music. It is my art. I love entertaining, and have always pleased my audiences.
I will, get my music out there.
Ive written just under 100 songs in my life, from all walks of music, and i never stop learning. There is not one genre of music i do not like. And i also love anymodern music i can hear.
I will play until i die.
I love the earth and nature, the ocean, art, people and mostly of all, I love life.
I guess John himself may never read this, but whoever does, I hope you can appreciate my story.
From the cities of SA, to Qld. through to the communities of arnhem land Ive jammed with hundreds of musos, and will never stop. My family is extremely musical. Several of us play from cousins, uncles n aunties, my mother and father, even my grandparents. Music is a part of us all and will live on forever and ever.
Thank you
