Corey/ session drummer

I'm not pinned to any particualr genre, due to being a session drummer, however I do have favourites. My number 1 favourite is hip-hop. Its very unusual to find live Hip-Hop, which is what makes live Hip-Hop so unique. My reasons for liking Hip-Hop are because although its tempo is very steady, and its rhythm is normally simple, it still has this impact on people as other up-beat and more exciting genre's do. This is why its so popular ! My influences have mainly come from gospel music, seen as i was brought up in church and played in church for number of years as i'm still doing now. I watched alot of church musicians, and although they each have a individual style, they still carry the same feel as which they play. The church and music are simply inseparable, so it was only a matter of time before I picked up an instrument, which was the drums at the age 2, then piano at the age of 3, now I'm starting to learn guitar and bass also. What sets me apart is that I'm very very adaptable to any style, however I realy dont like heavy metal. If you asked me to play something in a particualr way, I'm capeable of doing so and adding some of my own uncommon style to it, without allowing the rhythm to loose its feel. At the moment I'm working on drumming for someones grime EP, which means alot of studio time at the moment, this gains me alot expierience for session musician life.
