Biography

Corou de Berra is a polyphonic “A Cappella” singing professional formation. Our band is settled in Southern Alps and we perform across Europe for twenty years.
Corou de Berra’s directory changes regarding the proposed performances, including Mediterranean Alps traditional singing in its purest expression up to most unexpected contemporary’s creations. This singing expresses itself in all these minority languages spoken in our county (Provençal, Niçois, Occitan…).
Since the beginning Corou de Berra throws foot-bridges leading to others musicals genres and other artistic forms.

Set List

Several shows are offered (each show is one hour long):
• « A Cappella » : the most representative show. It’s a musical promenade of our Southern Alps
• « Miédjou » : the vocal cords orchestra. 6 mixed voices accompanied by 4 instrumentists: piano, violin, drums, mandoline and doublebass.
• « Between Jazz and Capella » : 6 mixed voices accompanied by André Ceccarelli, the international jazz percussionist.
• « Sacred Music » : sacred songs from the handwritten of the Southern Alps.
• « Caléna » : Christmas’ songs from Provence and the Nice county.
