Bio

Correspondence is a lifelong fan of hip-hop and soul music. Growing up in Charleston, South Carolina, his older brother was the DJ of the house and put him onto pioneering southern rap artists like Outkast and UGK. However, in the early days he found his creative outlet in the theater. Still, his love for music eventually prevailed and he remains to this day 'that guy who's always wearing headphones' – a true hip-hop head.

After graduating high school, he bounced from city to city, trying to find his place. After brief stopovers in New Orleans, Louisiana, and back home in Charleston, he was seriously injured in a car accident while living in Columbia, South Carolina. Although he nearly lost his life, he packed up and moved to Nice, France, only a few weeks after leaving the hospital. During this difficult time, he became serious about writing and rhyming. While rehabilitating from a life-threatening injury, he discovered an energetic vigor for creating his own music. He has not looked back since…

Along with pursuing music, he has also focused on his education. He received business degrees from the University of South Carolina and more recently graduated from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. In spite of a busy life in the US, he frequently travels to Amsterdam to record at The Next Episode.

Correspondence – The word can be defined in many ways…

A "communication by the exchange of messages," derived from a "compatibility of observations," delivered through the use of "similarity or analogy," that leaves us all in "a state of agreement."
