Bio
Formed in 2008, Corsair grew out of Mass Sabbath, a Black Sabbath tribute band that played on Halloween for seven years. Guitarists Paul Sebring and Marie Landragin were two of its 12+ members and decided to continue playing together, inspired by the riffs they had just learned to emulate. Jordan Brunk joined on bass and the foundation of Corsair was set.
Between 2008 and 2012, Corsair recorded and self-released two EPs, Alpha Centauri and Ghosts of Proxima Centauri, and a full length Self Titled LP. Word slowly spread from one blog to another, eventually gaining the attention of Shadow Kingdom Records, who decided to re-release all previous recordings in 2013.
Late in 2013, Corsair recorded their follow-up LP, titled One Eyed Horse at White Star Sound, soon to be released in February 2015. On the heels of the recording session, they set sail across the Atlantic to play a three week tour, primarily in Germany. The impetus of the campaign was an invitation to play at Hell Over Hammaburg, a metal festival in Hamburg.
Currently, Corsair are playing shows in the Mid-Atlantic region with plans for a more extensive tour in support of the February 2015 release of One Eyed Horse.
