"Rising Stars to Rock Burgh"

Dumbarton band Cortez are one of the most exciting and talented acts in Scotland at the moment.

They have played in Britain's most prestigious venues over the years including The Cavern in Liverpool and Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms, and they have supported acts like Wishbone Ash and Mohair.

The Bands sound is derived from a colourful mix of influences which have shaped their sound into what they play today.

It is deeply rooted around classic rock bands such as Aerosmith, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin yet they still have their own unique style and that has helped to establish them as one of the must see Scottish acts this year. - Helensburgh Advertiser
