"MalaSuave by Cortez Syndicate"

Emilio Cortez proves that he fully understands what moombahton is and should be, with his minimal take on slowed down Dirty Dutch house. The leads and drums are reminiscent of Chuckie and Afrojack, and the movement between the softer elements and harder beats is very effective. With this release on and for Cinco de Mayo -- Cortez asks us to celebrate with some great bass music. - Moombahton.net

"Fresh Pickn’s Friday 37"

Yes, call me a moombah-fanactic, but this Toronto based producer, and up and comer has sparked my interest again in the genre. Since this whole trap epidemic, it seems to me that the moombahton sounds (ie. reggaeton and some dutch house) have been left to collect dust. As this is one of my preferred genres, I have been on the hunt for new tracks to restore my faith. I stumbled upon Emilio Cortez, and his “A Mover La Colita” and was pretty excited. Mixing traditional spanish sounding samples with a mid-bassline and recurring stabs, the 808 kicks became the hook in my mouth on this one. The young producer has been teaming up for a few tracks, including “Llegamos” (below), so when in need for a break from all the trap and want something lighter that will still keep your ass shaking (if not faster), than enjoy some Cortez. - TheDankles.com

"New Paul Lee, LocoMotive, Milo & Otis Plus More!"

Cortez Syndicate did a bootleg on Gipsy Kings “Bamboleo”. The bootleg includes a break that uses an original portion of the song that leads into a dembow drum kick. What gets me everytime in the bootleg is right where the drops come, the line “To the bassline”. That line have me jumping in a frenzy. - MoombaPlus.com

"Cortez De Mayo"

Hello to my fellow Corona binging chicas and fellas! Moombaplus wishing every moombahtonisto and moombahtonista a very spectacular Cinco De Mayo. Alongside the drinking games consists of various sombreros, maracas and pin the tail on the donkey; we’ll be bringing an exclusive single release from Cortez Syndicate called “MalaSuave”.

In MalaSuave, the song brings the listeners on a rollercoaster with smooth, relax builds that leads into a twerk-crazed bouncing drop and back-n-forth. This tune from Cortez Syndicate is a must for any Moombahton set to turn up the queso. - MoombaPlus.com
