"Peter North (Edmonton, AB)"

"A sound that is unique, identifiable and thankfully, darn good. (Danyluk's) lyrics are filled with magnified images and penetrating emotions, are so impressively poetic and powerful that they could easily stand alone as spoken-word pieces".
- Edmonton Journal, Edmonton Canada

The songs of Cory Danyluk have a rare intuitive beauty that is at once brimming with poetic images and evocative of the truest raw human emotions. Drawing from an array of influences ranging from the Rolling Stones and the Velvet Underground to Woody Guthrie, Van Morrison and far beyond, his music has long been difficult for his fans to pigeon-hole. His unique fiery singing style and powerful blues harp have over the years become a signature trademark which, has blossomed into a musical sound that may best be described as acoustic driven roots-rock.

Most recently known for his work with his duo, Danyluk & Card, Cory has toured extensively across Canada, winning over audiences at festivals, folk clubs, coffee houses and clubs from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland and across Europe and the U.K. With this duo, he released three full-length records which received generous airplay and glowing magazine reviews on both sides of the Atlantic, including airplay in the United States, Germany, Italy and Belgium. . Perhaps Radio Teutoburger in Germany most aptly sums up this duo: "Yes indeed there are still serious musicians who know their job, and this duo has such musical artisans."

Now, after spending the past couple of years carefully woodshedding new material, Danyluk is now making preparations for his first solo venture in over a decade. After this short hiatus from the road to spend time with his newborn son, he is now working towards his first solo album and putting together extensive touring plans for the upcoming year.
