Cosmic Kaz is a band centered around vocalist and composer Katrina King-Smith, & keys and composer Franny King-Smith. Dubbed by BMI as a modern day Tears For Fears or Steely Dan this band sounds amazing live, with some of the best players and songs you've heard in ages.
The group is endorsed by John Etheridge of Soft Machine, Kevin Smith of Unicorn (produced by Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd), and by Charlie Feldman Vice President at BMI.
Drawing from an eclectic mix of pop, jazz, and electronic music they endeavor to take the listener on a journey through refreshing new styles and intricate compositions. The group formed at Berklee College of Music while studying improvisation, a component that remains key to their creative musical process.
